The benefits of our raw turmeric.

Like many spices, turmeric (Curcuma longa) has a long history of use in traditional medicine. This flavour-filled spice is primarily cultivated from the rhizomes, or roots, of flowering plants. Turmeric is well-known as a superfood, for its potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

The primary active component of turmeric and the one that gives the spice its characteristic yellow colour is curcumin, you can credit curcumin with most of turmeric’s potential health benefits.

Our turmeric is naturally grown and produced in the Kerala, India, a region well known for its agriculture. Each batch produced is independently tested by Shiva Laboratories, for heavy metals and its potent curcumin factor.
